Incentive Mechanisms for Hierarchical Spectrum Markets

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper, we study spectrum allocation mechanisms in hierarchical multi-layer markets which are expected to proliferate in the near future based on the current spectrum policy reform proposals.

Rate‐Adaptive Site Transformation Catalyst for Parallel Water Dissociation and Hydrogen Adsorption in Alkaline Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a rate‐adaptive site transformation strategy in Ag‑ethylenediamine intercalated Co9S8, which not only enables parallel water dissociation and H* adsorption, but also allows the catalyst to provide more active sites under high demand, removing a major bottleneck. The catalyst achieves a record current density of 4.2 A cm−2@2.0 V, with

Simvastatin Restores Uteroplacental Hemodynamics and Trophoblast Function in Obstetric Antiphospholipid Syndrome in a Placenta‐on‐a‐Chip Model

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Simvastatin mitigates placental hypoperfusion in OAPS by ameliorating abnormal uteromaternal hemodynamics and enhancing trophoblast invasion via optimized endothelial cell interactions under pathological shear stress, as evidenced by results from a placenta‐on‐a‐chip platform.

Worst-Case Robust Distributed Power Allocation in Shared Unlicensed Spectrum [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This paper considers non-cooperative and fully-distributed power-allocation for selfish transmitter-receiver pairs in shared unlicensed spectrum when normalized-interference to each receiver is uncertain.

Sprayable Polymer Blends With Short‐Chain Surface Segregation for Preventing Postoperative Abdominal Adhesions

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Adhesions’ high occurrence rates and high morbidity render them a critical challenge to be addressed. Current prevention methods, such as physical barriers, have many limitations, resulting in inconsistent safety and efficacy. This study demonstrates the potential for sprayable polymeric materials as an adhesion barrier.

Spectrum Allocation in Cognitive Networks

open access: yes, 2016
Cognitive Network is a technique which is used to improve the spectrum utilization. Current network scenario is experiencing the huge spectrum scarcity problem due to the fixed assignment policy so in this method great amount of spectrum remain unused. To overcome this limitation the spectrum allocation must be in dynamic manner.

Poster: Resource Allocation with Conflict Resolution for Vehicular Sidelink Broadcast Communications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper we present a graph-based resource allocation scheme for sidelink broadcast V2V communications. Harnessing available information on geographical position of vehicles and spectrum resources utilization, eNodeBs are capable of allotting the ...

A Physiological Microfluidic Blood–Brain‐Barrier Model for In Vitro Study of Nanoparticle Trafficking and Accumulation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A human microfluidic blood‐brain barrier (mBBB) model enables spatially resolved comparison of nanoparticle trafficking. Extracellular vesicles (EVs), liposomes, and nanoplastics exhibit distinct transport and disruption behaviors, revealing that membrane composition and uptake pathways govern BBB interaction.
