Analysis of the torsional Raman spectrum of a pyramidal molecule, dimethylamine
Abstract Overtone Raman spectra of dimethylamine (DMA) are analyzed yielding accurate torsional potential parameters. Neglecting the inversion motion of the amino-hydrogen in DMA the group G 18 is the proper molecular symmetry group to analyze the measured torsional Raman spectrum.

Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering Detection of Fipronil Pesticide Adsorbed on Silver Nanoparticles
This work presents a surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and density functional theory (DFT) study of a fipronil adsorbed on colloidal silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). A standard curve was established to quantify fipronil within a range of 0.0001–

Copper catalysts introduced with different non‐metallic elements regulating the coordination number of Cu are prepared by magnetron sputtering. Reducing the Cu coordination number enhances C─C coupling and boosts C2+ product selectivity, by lowering the energy barrier for the *CO → *CHO conversion step. The optimized Si‐doped Cu catalyst achieves a C2+

A reproducible synthesis to control 3D/0D phase ratios via water‐tuned solvent–antisolvent methods is presented. Enhanced scintillation yield and ultrafast decay are achieved. Defect‐driven emission mechanisms are revealed through cathodoluminescence and radioluminescence, shedding light on the underexplored role of the 0D Cs4PbBr6 and mixed 0D/3D ...

Reevaluating the Activity of ZIF‐8 Based FeNCs for Electrochemical Ammonia Production
Though receiving much attention, the field of electrochemical nitrogen reduction reaction (eNRR) to ammonia is marked by doubts about whether this reaction is possible in aqueous media. This work sheds light on this question for iron single‐atom on N‐doped carbon (FeNC) catalysts—a class of well‐known catalysts that is also worth testing for the sister

Infrared absorption and emission characteristics of interstellar PAHs [PDF]
The mid-infrared interstellar emission spectrum with features at 3.28, 6.2, 7.7, 8.7 and 11.3 microns is discussed in terms of the Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon (PAH) hypothesis, which is based on the suggestive, but inconclusive comparison between the
