QCD String Spectrum 2002 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Results from a comprehensive new analysis on the excitation spectrum of the QCD string are presented. A rapid onset of string formation is observed in the spectrum on a length scale of 2 fm, with Dirichlet boundary conditions.

500-year growth cycle of stalagmite and its response to regional hydrological changes in Heshang cave, western Hubei

open access: yes地质科技通报, 2022
Stalagmitesare important high-resolution paleoclimate archives, and possess abundant physical, chemical and microbial paleoclimate proxies. Among of them, the growth rate (GR)of stalagmites quite popular because its easy access and non-destruction ...

Application of Raman spectroscopy in breast cancer surgery [PDF]

open access: yesKosin Medical Journal, 2023
The incidence of breast cancer is increasing worldwide. As cancer screening has become more widespread, the rate of early breast cancer detection has increased and treatment methods have changed.

An undamped oscillation model with twodifferent contact angles for a spherical dropletimpacting on solid surface

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2020
In order to further elucidate the dynamic theory of droplet oscillating on solid surface, a new handling method of contact angle of the droplet during the process of the oscillation was founded, which is based on the spherical model.

Power Spectrum Analysis of the Stromlo-APM Redshift Survey [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
We test estimators of the galaxy power spectrum $P(k)$ against simulated galaxy catalogues constructed from N-body simulations and we derive formulae to correct for biases.

Bohr-Sommerfeld Quantization of Space [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We introduce semiclassical methods into the study of the volume spectrum in loop gravity. The classical system behind a 4-valent spinnetwork node is a Euclidean tetrahedron.

Numerical Study on the Influence of the Oscillating Surface Oxygen Concentration on the Bioconvection in a Two-Dimensional Deep Chamber

open access: yesJournal of Fluid Science and Technology, 2010
Numerical study on the two-dimensional bioconvection in a deep chamber was carried out under the condition of the oscillating surface oxygen concentration to obtain the basic data for the control of bioconvection by using the surface oxygen concentration.

Asymptotic analysis and spectrum of three anyons

open access: yes, 1993
The spectrum of anyons confined in harmonic oscillator potential shows both linear and nonlinear dependence on the statistical parameter. While the existence of exact linear solutions have been shown analytically, the nonlinear dependence has been ...

Redshift-space Distortions of the Power Spectrum of Cosmological Objects on a Light Cone : Explicit Formulations and Theoretical Implications [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
We examine the effects of the linear and the cosmological redshift-space distortions on the power spectrum of cosmological objects on a light cone. We develop theoretical formulae for the power spectrum in linear theory of density perturbations in a ...

Thickness Variation Characteristics of Tidal Rhythmites—An Example From the Pinghu Formation, Xihu Sag, East China Sea Shelf Basin

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2022
The Pinghu Formation of the Xihu Sag in the East China Sea shelf basin is influenced by tidal processes, but few studies have focused on its tidal rhythmites.
