On the fine spectrum of the forward difference operator on the Hahn space [PDF]

The main purpose of this paper is to determine the fine spectrum with respect to Goldberg's classification of the difference operator over the sequence space h. As a new development, we give the approximate point spectrum, defect spectrum and compression spectrum of the difference operator on the sequence space h.

Molecular and functional profiling unravels targetable vulnerabilities in colorectal cancer

We used whole exome and RNA‐sequencing to profile divergent genomic and transcriptomic landscapes of microsatellite stable (MSS) and microsatellite instable (MSI) colorectal cancer. Alterations were classified using a computational score for integrative cancer variant annotation and prioritization.

Joint spectrum for quasi-solvable Lie algebras of operators [PDF]

Given a complex Banach space $X$ and a joint spectrum for complex solvable finite dimensional Lie algebras of operators defined on $X$, we extend this joint spectrum to quasi-solvable Lie algebras of operators, and we prove the main spectral properties of the extended joint spectrum.

Plasma lipidomic and metabolomic profiles in high‐grade glioma patients before and after 72‐h presurgery water‐only fasting

Presurgery 72‐h fasting in GB patients leads to adaptations of plasma lipids and polar metabolites. Fasting reduces lysophosphatidylcholines and increases free fatty acids, shifts triglycerides toward long‐chain TGs and increases branched‐chain amino acids, alpha aminobutyric acid, and uric acid.

Targeting the MDM2‐MDM4 interaction interface reveals an otherwise therapeutically active wild‐type p53 in colorectal cancer

Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigates an alternative approach to reactivating the oncosuppressor p53 in cancer. A short peptide targeting the association of the two p53 inhibitors, MDM2 and MDM4, induces an otherwise therapeutically active p53 with unique features that promote cell death and potentially reduce toxicity towards proliferating nontumor cells.
