Spectral reconstruction of kilovoltage photon beams using generalized simulated annealing
To unfold the energy spectrum of two kilovoltage (kV) X-ray beams from transmission curves through a mathematical methodology based on Laplace transform and the generalized simulated annealing algorithm.

The process of internalization of the Shiga toxin A subunit via formation of a complex with the Shiga toxin B subunit, which specifically binds to the Gb3 receptor. The peptide is designed to act as a carrier of drugs into cancer cells. Here, we explored the potential of peptides derived from the catalytic A subunit of Shiga toxin (STxA) to be drug ...

A New Method to Measure the Electron Beam Energy Spectrum [PDF]
An innovative method has been used to calculate electron beam energy spectrum using depth-dose curve. The depth-dose distributions of the electron beam with different primary energies emerging from the electron accelerator were measured in water phantom ...

The X-ray spectrum and light curve of Supernova 1995N [PDF]
We report on multi-epoch X-ray observations of the Type IIn (narrow emission line) supernova SN 1995N with the ROSAT and ASCA satellites. The January 1998 ASCA X-ray spectrum is well fitted by a thermal bremsstrahlung (kT~10 keV, N_H~6e20 cm^-2) or power-law (alpha~1.7, N_H~1e21 cm^-2) model.

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.

Fučík spectra for vector equations
Let $L:\hbox{dom} L\subset L^2(\Omega;R^N)\rightarrow L^2(\Omega;R^N)$ be a linear operator, $\Omega$ being open and bounded in $R^M$. The aim of this paper is to study the Fu\v c\'\i k spectrum for vector problems of the form $Lu=\alpha Au^+ -\beta Au^-$

Peripheral lysosomes recruit PLEKHG3 to focal adhesions and restrain protrusion dynamics
Proximity‐dependent labeling at the LAMTOR complex revealed the Rho GEF PLEKHG3 as a lysosome‐proximal protein directing the study toward the influence of lysosome positioning on actin dynamics and cell motility. We show that PLEKHG3 colocalizes with lysosomes at focal adhesion sites and observe that forced peripheral dispersion of lysosomes hinders ...
