Consensus-Based Distributive Cooperative Spectrum Sensing for Mobile Ad Hoc Cognitive Radio Networks

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2013
Cognitive radio network (CRN) is an intelligent network that provides solution to underutilization of spectrum band by detecting spectrum holes. For this purpose, certain important tasks including spectrum sensing, spectrum analysis, and spectrum ...

Microbiome−host proteostasis crosstalk—An emerging perspective on mechanisms and interventions toward healthy longevity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

BigBand: GHz-Wide Sensing and Decoding on Commodity Radios [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The goal of this paper is to make sensing and decoding GHz of spectrum simple, cheap, and low power. Our thesis is simple: if we can build a technology that captures GHz of spectrum using commodity Wi-Fi radios, it will have the right cost and power ...

A SARS method for reliable spectrum sensing in multiband communication systems

open access: yes, 2011
This paper introduces a novel method of spectrum sensing in communication systems that utilizes nonuniform sampling in conjunction with a suitable spectral analysis tool. It is referred to here as spectral analysis for randomized sampling (SARS).

ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Spatial characterisation of spectrum occupancy in urban environment for cognitive radio [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Cognitive Radio (CR) has been proposed to solve the so-called spectrum scarcity problem. CR uses opportunistically the licensed bands when they are temporarily unused.

Overview of spectrum sensing for cognitive radio

open access: yes2010 2nd International Workshop on Cognitive Information Processing, 2010
We present a survey of state-of-the-art algorithms for spectrum sensing in cognitive radio. The algorithms discussed range from energy detection to sophisticated feature detectors. The feature detectors that we present all have in common that they exploit some known structure of the transmitted signal.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.
