Integrating multimodal data and machine learning for entrepreneurship research
Abstract Research Summary Extant research in neuroscience suggests that human perception is multimodal in nature—we model the world integrating diverse data sources such as sound, images, taste, and smell. Working in a dynamic environment, entrepreneurs are expected to draw on multimodal inputs in their decision making.

Composite Pentamode Metamaterials for Enhanced Wave Manipulation by Asymmetric Surface Structure
The asymmetric pentamode surface structure can reduce the scattering from 26.3 dB to 0.96 dB and multiply the frequency range of wave manipulation. This approach results in a 95% improvement in compressive strength compared to pentamode structures with the same acoustic performance, enabling wider deepwater applications.

Types of Struggles in Disrupted Interaction: A Case of Hard‐of‐Hearing Employees
Everyone experiences disrupted interactions in their everyday life. However, research indicates that people with functional impairments are particularly exposed to patterns of interactional inequality at work. Despite this, little is known about the specific disrupted interactions in everyday life and the various types of interactional struggles this ...

Acceptance and Use of App‐Based Language Learning Among Young Adolescents in a Self‐Directed Context
Abstract App‐based language learning has gained attention for its potential to promote L2 learning beyond the classroom. However, few learners use L2 learning apps long enough to fully benefit from this learning method. Using the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology, I explored the acceptance and use of a commercially available language ...
