Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

The efficiency of currency markets: Studies of volatility and speed of adjustment

open access: yes, 2006
Whether or not currency markets may be regarded as efficient or not has been a hotly debated issue in the academic literature over recent decades. Economic theory would suggest that these markets should be efficient because they are apparently good ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Do stronger creditors’ rights and an efficient bankruptcy process affect the speed of adjustment to target capital structure? Evidence from a quasi-natural experiment

open access: yesCogent Economics & Finance
This study investigates the impact of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) on the capital structure speed of adjustment (SOA) of Indian firms. The IBC, introduced in 2016, significantly enhanced creditors’ rights and streamlined the bankruptcy ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Study on High-speed Train Operation Adjustment Based on Differential Evolution

open access: yesChemical Engineering Transactions, 2015
With the characteristics of numerous constraints, large density and high speed of train, High-speed train operation adjustment problem is a typical large-scale combinatorial optimization problem and also a kind of difficult problem of NP.

Fiscal Adjustment in Sudan: Size, Speed and Composition

open access: yesIMF Working Papers, 2010
The paper aims to identify the optimal size, speed and composition of the medium-term fiscal adjustment in the context of Sudan's limited oil reserves. The permanently sustainable non-oil primary balance approach suggests the need for significant fiscal adjustment over the medium term, requiring a widening of the tax base.

Speed Choice, Speed Preference and Risk Perception: Relevance for the Problem of Speed Variability in Traffic

open access: yes, 2014
Fifty percent of drives have been found to frequently violate speed limits (OECD/ECMT, 2006), and speed limit compliance appears to depend on the perceived credibility of a road’s speed limit (Goldenbeld & van Schagen, 2007). Credibility of speed limits,

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.
