A Magnetically Transformable Twisting Millirobot for Cargo Delivery at Low Reynolds Number
Herein, a soft millirobot, TwistBot, that transforms from a flat shape to a helical shape to propel in fluids at low Reynolds number is reported. Its geometry is optimized by numerical simulation and validated by experiments to effectively propel and deliver solid cargos.

Sperm navigation along helical paths in 3D chemoattractant landscapes
Sperm require a sense of direction to locate the egg for fertilization. They follow gradients of chemical and physical cues provided by the egg or the oviduct.

Sperm DNA and detection of DNA fragmentations in sperm [PDF]
The questionable effectiveness of routine sperm parameters in determining male factor infertility problems and increasing the success rates of assisted reproductive techniques have led to the investigation of more detailed sperm parameters that could affect the male fertility and reproduction.

Microcystin leucine arginine induces human sperm damage: Involvement of the Ca2+/CaMKKβ/AMPK pathway
As a common pollutant in the water environment, microcystin leucine arginine (MC-LR) can enter semen and damage the sperm in animals. However, the mechanism by which MC-LR damages human sperm is unclear.

Potassium ion influx and Na+,K+-ATPase activity are required for the hamster sperm acrosome reaction. [PDF]
The role of a K+ ion influx and Na+,K+-ATPase activity in the hamster sperm acrosome reaction (AR) was examined, using a range of concentrations of K+,K+ ionophores and a Na+,K+-ATPase inhibitor.

ABSTRACT This study aims to elucidate the role of the ZSWIM7 gene in the etiology of infertility, focusing on its potential association with premature ovarian insufficiency and azoospermia. We investigated an 18‐year‐old female patient who presented with primary amenorrhea, hypoplasia of the uterus and ovaries, Tanner stage II breast and pubic hair ...

The Semen pH Affects Sperm Motility and Capacitation
As the chemical environment of semen can have a profound effect on sperm quality, we examined the effect of pH on the motility, viability and capacitation of human sperm. The sperm in this study was collected from healthy males to avoid interference from
