Characterization of the Rbfox3‐IRES‐iCre knock‐in mouse: Revealing gene recombination activity in neural and non‐neural peripheral tissues

open access: yesFASEB BioAdvances, Volume 7, Issue 4, April 2025.
This study developed an Rbfox3‐iCre knock‐in mouse model to explore Cre‐loxP‐based genetic recombination. Gene recombination was observed in the central nervous system and heart during embryonic development and in neurons, but not glial or NeuN‐negative neural cells, in the adult brain.

Serological Evidence of Cetacean Morbillivirus Infection in Common Bottlenose Dolphins in Japan

open access: yesMicrobiology and Immunology, Volume 69, Issue 5, Page 307-312, May 2025.
ABSTRACT This study revealed that 41.9% of wild‐born Japanese captive dolphins (18 out of 43 dolphins) have neutralizing antibodies specific to cetacean morbillivirus (CeMV). This finding indicates a widespread yet undetected CeMV infection among wild dolphins in the waters around Japan, occurring without notable epidemic or mass mortality of dolphins.
