Multi‐Platform Deployments of Low‐Cost Devices for Cetacean Passive Acoustic Monitoring

open access: yesRemote Sensing in Ecology and Conservation, EarlyView.
Recent advances in affordable, user‐friendly devices offer new opportunities to overcome cost constraints of underwater passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) and expand acoustic data collection. In this study, we deployed low‐cost acoustic recorders and underwater cameras across a range of platforms in the Western Mediterranean, including fishing gear ...

Nocturnal awakening secondary to pain in sleep‐related painful erection: A case report and literature review

open access: yesSleep Research, EarlyView.
Abstract A 41‐year‐old male patient presented with a 13‐year history of recurrent nocturnal penile pain associated with erections during sleep. Over the course of his illness, the patient attended outpatient clinics on 298 occasions and was hospitalized three times. The primary symptom reported was erectile pain occurring during sleep.

Microrobots: Two Decades of Progress

open access: yesSmartBot, EarlyView.
Microrobots are governed by counterintuitive viscous‐dominated microscale physics, making traditional large‐scale driving principles unapplicable and restricting their reliable in‐body locomotion implementation. Multiple propulsion schemes and advanced microfabrication techniques have been developed to bypass such physical limitations and enrich ...

Liquid Crystal Polymers as Intrinsically Magnetic and Programmable Soft Materials for Microrobotics

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Liquid crystal polymers (LCPs) are proposed as intrinsically magnetic, programmable, soft materials for microrobotics. Magnetic torque‐driven manipulation of LCP microobjects is achieved and characterized in terms of the step‐out frequency, reaching ∼0.6 Hz in a ∼250 mT magnetic field. The orientation of LCP microobjects in the magnetic field and their
