Sperm quality before treatment in patients with early stage Hodgkin’s lymphoma enrolled in EORTC-GELA Lymphoma Group trials

open access: yesHaematologica, 2009
Background Although widely recommended, cryopreservation of sperm is sometimes not performed for patients with Hodgkin’s lymphoma because of presumed poor sperm quality related to the disease.

Magnetic Field Driven Microrobot Based on Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Hydrogel‐based magnetic microrobots synergize remote magnetic control with the biocompatibility of flexible hydrogels, emerging as promising tools for minimally invasive biomedicine. This enables remotely controllable, untethered navigation within complex biological microenvironments.

Qualitative Real‐Time Disinfection Monitoring through Lipid Nanoparticle‐Separated Fluorophore‐Quencher Pairs

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
A real‐time method for monitoring surface disinfection is presented using fluorescence‐labeled DNA and lipid nanoparticles. The system detects chemical disintegration caused by disinfectants, producing an immediate fluorescence change visible with simple tools.

Obesity‐Associated TRIM15 Promotes the Proliferation of Esophageal Adenocarcinoma Through the YY2/FOXRED1 Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The study identifies TRIM15 as a key driver in the development of obesity‐associated esophageal adenocarcinoma (EAC). Mechanistically, TRIM15 degrades YY2 through the proteasome pathway, suppressing FOXRED1 transcription and ultimately accelerating tumor proliferation.

RAD21L1 Is Sufficient and Effective for Reprogramming Human Sertoli Cells to Phenotypic Spermatogonial Stem Cells Through DNA Methylation and Essential for Male Fertility

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RAD21L1 is upregulated in human Sertoli cells to be transited to become spermatogonial stem cells by overexpressing DAZ family three genes. RAD21L1 is sufficient and effective for reprogramming Sertoli cells into human spermatogonial stem cells with high safety through DNA methylation.

Joint and individual associations between multiple vitamins and sperm quality in adult men

open access: yesFrontiers in Nutrition
BackgroundSeveral studies have suggested that a healthy diet is associated with improved male fertility outcomes. However, the joint and individual associations between the status of multiple vitamins and sperm quality remain unclear.ObjectivesThis study

Effect of cholesterol-loaded cyclodextrins on bull and goat sperm processed with fast or slow cryopreservation protocols

open access: yesAnimal, 2014
Cholesterol-loaded cyclodextrins (CLC) added to the sperm before cryopreservation enhance sperm quality after freeze-thawing in several cold shock-sensitive species, including cattle and goats.

Oral Celastrol Micelles Forming High‐Density Lipoprotein Corona Targeting Hepatocytes for MASLD Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Upon oral administration, OPDEA‐PCL/CEL micelles passed through the stomach acid intact, then quickly penetrated the intestinal mucus and transported into circulation, where they captured HDL to form a protein corona and target hepatocyte SR‐B1 receptors, inducing endocytosis.
