SPH method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The SPH (Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics) method for solving fluid dynamics equations is presented in this paper. The main aim of this paper is to present theoretical aspects of the method which is used in numerical modelling of rapidly varying free-surface flows.

Numerical Investigation of Fluid Mixing in a Micro-Channel Mixer with Two Rotating Stirrers by Using the Incompressible SPH Method [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, 2017
Fluid mixing is a crucial and challenging process for microfluidic systems, which are widely used in biochemical processes. Because of their fast performance, active micromixers that use stirrer blades are considered for biological applications.

An approach for solving the boundary free edge difficulties in SPH modelling: application to a viscous accretion disc in close binaries

open access: yes, 2011
In this work, we propose a SPH interpolating Kernel reformulation suitable also to treat free edge boundaries in the computational domain. Application to both inviscid and viscous stationary low compressibility accretion disc models in Close Binaries (CB)

Data‐Driven Bulldozer Blade Control for Autonomous Terrain Leveling

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A simulation‐driven framework for autonomous bulldozer leveling is presented, combining high‐fidelity terramechanics simulation with a neural‐network‐based reduced‐order model. Gradient‐based optimization enables efficient, low‐level blade control that balances leveling quality and operation time.

rpSPH: a novel Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics Algorithm

open access: yes, 2010
We suggest a novel discretisation of the momentum equation for Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) and show that it significantly improves the accuracy of the obtained solutions.

Material‐Induced Nuclear Deformation Controls Chromatin Architecture in Adipose Stem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tuning cell and cytoskeleton mechanics modulated nuclear shape and heterochromatin organization in ASCs. Distinct cytoskeletal architectures induced nuclear morphologies from oblate to prolate ellipsoids. Large elongated cells with a structured actin cap exhibited high nuclear strain, driving nuclear envelope deformation and heterochromatin ...

SPH Simulations of Counterrotating Disk Formation in Spiral Galaxies [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We present the results of Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) simulations of the formation of a massive counterrotating disk in a spiral galaxy. The current study revisits and extends (with SPH) previous work carried out with sticky particle gas ...

Effectiveness of Pre‐Transplant Dual GLP‐1 Receptor Agonist and SGLT2 Inhibitor Therapy on All‐Cause Mortality in Organ Transplantation Candidates with Obesity and Type 2 Diabetes: a Target‐Trial Emulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This target trial emulation in solid organ transplant candidates with obesity and type 2 diabetes evaluates whether pre‐transplant dual therapy with GLP‐1 receptor agonists plus SGLT2 inhibitors is associated with post‐transplant mortality and kidney graft outcomes compared with monotherapy or usual care, using multinational electronic health records ...
