Spectrophotometric analyses on electronic structures of glide dislocation cores in ZnS
Abstract It has been reported that dislocations in ZnS can trap photoexcited carriers and then undergo core reconstruction. However, electronic states of the trapped carriers at the reconstructed dislocations were not detected experimentally.

Geochemical and mineralogical features of the polymetallic deposit from Ali' (NE Sicily, Italy)
The mineralization processes in the Peloritani Belt (Southern Sector of the Calabria- Peloritani Arc), related to Pre-Variscan intracontinental rifting, produced sedex-type Pb, Zn, F (Ag), Cu, W (As, Sb) ores.

Improved Facet and Edge Passivation in Near‐Infrared III‐V Colloidal Quantum Dot Photodetectors
Increasing InAs CQD size exposes diverse facets and edges, bringing challenges for effective passivation. This work introduces a mixed‐halide passivation strategy to stabilize these facets and edges, doubling anti‐oxidation ability and boosting mobility.

This research was primarily driven by the aim to extract residual encapsulated gold in sulfidic minerals, which would require the dissolution of the mineral. The electrochemical oxidation of pyrite and chalcopyrite in 0.5 M nitric acid was investigated here, using cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, to see if there are any ...

INNOVATIVE ECO-EFFICIENT BIOHYDROMETALLURGICAL PROCESSES FOR THE RECOVERY OF STRATEGIC AND RARE METALS FROM PRIMARY AND SECONDARY RESOURCES [PDF]
The conventional pyrometallurgical route for winning of metals is increasingly confronted with a number of challenges which include the necessity to exploit more complex and deeper deposits, arsenic containing deposits, increased ...
