Valanginian to Barremian Benthic Foraminifera from ODP Site 766 (Leg 123, Indian Ocean) [PDF]
A Valanginian to Barremian bathyal foraminiferal assemblage (118 taxa belonging to 51 genera) is documented from ODP Site 766, drilled near the foot of the Exmouth Plateau off northwest Australia.

Iterating evolutes and involutes [PDF]
This paper concerns iterations of two classical geometric constructions, the evolutes and involutes of plane curves, and their discretizations: evolutes and involutes of plane polygons.

A Reciprocal Transformation for the Constant Astigmatism Equation [PDF]
We introduce a nonlocal transformation to generate exact solutions of the constant astigmatism equation $z_{yy} + (1/z)_{xx} + 2 = 0$. The transformation is related to the special case of the famous B\"acklund transformation of the sine-Gordon equation ...

High-order involute modified noncircular bevel gears
Noncircular bevel gears (NBGs) is a kind of spatial transmission mechanism which can be used to transmit the motion and power between two intersecting axes with a variable transmission ratio and according to a suitable motion program.

A Review on Solar Concentrators with Multi-surface and Multi-element (MS/ME) Combinations [PDF]
Solar concentrator always plays an important role in solar energy collection as it could enhance the energy density effectively. Various structures of solar concentrators have been researched in recent years, among which multi-surface (MS) and multi ...

Foraminiferal assemblages from the bajocian global stratotype section and point (GSSP) at Cape Mondego (Portugal) [PDF]
A detailed study of the benthic foraminiferal assemblages at the Bajocian Global Stratotype Section and Point (GSSP— Murtinheira section, Lusitanian Basin, western Portugal) presented herein increases the correlation potential of this relevant global ...

THE LOGARITHMIC SPIRAL AND ITS SPHERICAL COUNTERPART
Logarithmic spirals are isogonal trajectories of pencils of lines. From a series of geometric consequences, we pick out a few which are relevant for kinematics: When a logarithmic spiral rolls on a line, its asymptotic point traces a straight line. Hence,

Slant helices in three dimensional lie groups
In this paper, we define slant helices in three dimensional Lie Groups with a bi-invariant metric and obtain a characterization of slant helices. Moreover, we give some relations between slant helices and their involutes, spherical images.Comment: 15 ...

Early to middle Miocene foraminifera from the deep-sea Congo Fan, offshore Angola [PDF]
Analysis of a 630m section of an exploration well penetrating the distal part of the Congo Fan (~2000m water depth) yielded high abundance and diversity assemblages of agglutinated and calcareous benthic foraminifera.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
