Remote Assessment of Ataxia Severity in SCA3 Across Multiple Centers and Time Points

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is a genetically defined ataxia. The Scale for Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) is a clinician‐reported outcome that measures ataxia severity at a single time point. In its standard application, SARA fails to capture short‐term fluctuations, limiting its sensitivity in trials.

Development of a Personalized Visualization and Analysis Tool to Improve Clinical Care in Complex Multisystem Diseases With Application to Scleroderma

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective In complex diseases, it is challenging to assess a patient's disease state, trajectory, treatment exposures, and risk of multiple outcomes simultaneously, efficiently, and at the point of care. Methods We developed an interactive patient‐level data visualization and analysis tool (VAT) that automates illustration of the trajectory of a ...

Wrist Joint Mechanism Using Triple Spherical Linkage.

open access: yesTRANSACTIONS OF THE JAPAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Series C, 1996
Using the theory of degrees of freedom, we have developed a constant velocity joint mechanism which has triple spherical linkages and applied it to the wrist joint of manipulators. The wrist joint mechanism features are as follows: revolute type lower pairs only; singularity-freemotion; pitch and yaw angles greater than 180 degrees; 360-degrees ...

Integrated approach to cosmology: Combining CMB, large-scale structure and weak lensing

open access: yes, 2016
Recent observational progress has led to the establishment of the standard $\Lambda$CDM model for cosmology. This development is based on different cosmological probes that are usually combined through their likelihoods at the latest stage in the ...

Lived and Care Experiences of Chronic Musculoskeletal Shoulder Pain in Australian Adults: A Qualitative Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Australian evidence on lived and care experiences of chronic musculoskeletal shoulder pain (CMSP), irrespective of disorder classification or disease, is limited. However, such evidence is important for person‐centered care and informing local service pathways and care guidelines or standards.

Spherical Functions on Riemannian Symmetric Spaces

open access: yes, 2017
This paper deals with some simple results about spherical functions of type $\delta$, namely new integral formulas, new results about behavior at infinity and some facts about the related $C_\sigma$ functions.Comment: 15 ...

Global and Regional Temporal Changes in Cross‐Country Inequalities of Site‐Specific Osteoarthritis Burden, 1990 to 2021

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective This study examined the global and regional temporal changes in cross‐country inequalities of site‐specific osteoarthritis (OA) burden from 1990 to 2021. Methods Age‐standardized years lived with disability rates (ASYRs) for site‐specific OA across 204 countries and territories were obtained from the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and ...

A Full-Freedom Wireless Power Transfer for Spheroid Joints

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
A full-freedom wireless power transfer for spheroid joints is proposed to solve the problem of power transmission between the caput-articularis and the acetabulum in a spheroid joint.
