The Halo Shape and Evolution of Polar Disc Galaxies [PDF]
We examine the properties and evolution of a simulated polar disc galaxy. This galaxy is comprised of two orthogonal discs, one of which contains old stars (old stellar disc), and the other, containing both younger stars and the cold gas (polar disc) of ...

Spherical subcomplexes of spherical buildings [PDF]
Let B be a thick spherical building equipped with its natural CAT(1) metric and let M be a proper, convex subset of B. If M is open or if M is a closed ball of radius pi/2, then the maximal subcomplex supported by the complement of M is spherical and non contractible.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

The effect of many sources on the genuine multiparticle correlations [PDF]
We report on a study aimed to explore the dependence of the genuine multiparticle correlations on the number of sources when the influence of other possible factors during multihadron production are avoided. The analysis utilised the normalised cumulants

Spherical functions on spherical varieties [PDF]
Let ${\bf X}={\bf H}\backslash{\bf G}$ be a homogeneous spherical variety for a split reductive group ${\bf G}$ over the integers $\frak o$ of a $p$-adic field $k$, and $K={\bf G}(\frak o)$ a hyperspecial maximal compact subgroup of $G={\bf G}(k)$.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Testing uniformity on high-dimensional spheres against monotone rotationally symmetric alternatives
We consider the problem of testing uniformity on high-dimensional unit spheres. We are primarily interested in non-null issues. We show that rotationally symmetric alternatives lead to two Local Asymptotic Normality (LAN) structures. The first one is for
