CO2 laser cutting and heat treatment technique are introduced for deburring spheroidal graphite cast iron. Thickness of heat affected zone (HAZ) generated in the deburring process was investigated as functions of cutting speed, laser power, assist-gas pressure and focusing position of the laser beam.
