An Inductive Approach to Strongly Antimagic Labelings of Graphs [PDF]
An antimagic labeling for a graph $G$ with $m$ edges is a bijection $f: E(G) \to \{1, 2, \dots, m\}$ so that $\phi_f(u) \neq \phi_f(v)$ holds for any pair of distinct vertices $u, v \in V(G)$, where $\phi_f(x) = \sum_{x \in e} f(e)$. A strongly antimagic labeling is an antimagic labeling with an additional condition: For any $u, v \in V(G)$, if $\deg(u)

Sparse Image Reconstruction for the SPIDER Optical Interferometric Telescope [PDF]
The concept of a recently proposed small-scale interferometric optical imaging device, an instrument known as the Segmented Planar Imaging Detector for Electro-optical Reconnaissance (SPIDER), is of great interest for its possible applications in astronomy and space science.

Maintenance of polymorphism in the orb weaving spider species Agalenatea redii (Araneae, Araneidae) [PDF]
The maintenance of polymorphism within populations may be the consequence of several elements of species life history such as use of space, activity rhythms, predation, parasitism and reproduction.

The sejugal furrow in camel spiders and acariform mites [PDF]
Camel spiders (Arachnida: Solifugae) are one of the arachnid groups characterised by a prosomal dorsal shield composed of three distinct elements: the pro-, meso- and metapeltidium.

Venom peptides have shown promise in treating pain. Our study uses computer screening to identify a peptide that targets a sodium channel (NaV1.7) linked to chronic pain. We produced the peptide in the laboratory and refined its design, advancing the search for innovative pain therapies.

Rice Stubble Provides Overwintering Microhabitats for Spiders in Winter-Fallowed Rice Fields
Spiders are among the predominant predatory arthropods in rice field ecosystems. Although the potential of spiders for controlling pests during the growth stages of rice is well known, few studies have focused on the overwintering habits of spiders after

Morphological evolution of spiders predicted by pendulum mechanics. [PDF]
BACKGROUND:Animals have been hypothesized to benefit from pendulum mechanics during suspensory locomotion, in which the potential energy of gravity is converted into kinetic energy according to the energy-conservation principle.

Stable isotopes of Hawaiian spiders reflect substrate properties along a chronosequence. [PDF]
The Hawaiian Islands offer a unique opportunity to test how changes in the properties of an isolated ecosystem are propagated through the organisms that occur within that ecosystem.

Coacervation driven by liquid‐liquid phase separation (LLPS) of biopolymers has garnered increasing attention in biology since this leads to the formation of membraneless organelles capable of performing essential yet largely unknown functions. This review highlights recent advances in coacervates (artificial condensates) composed of low‐molecular ...
