In IoT sensors, which are used to record and send images, secure image transmission is of great importance. Therefore, we need to use encryption, watermarking and compression processes. Here, a new integrated method of lightweight encryption, watermarking and compression for the fast and secure transmission of images is proposed.

LL‐FMC: Low‐latency frame memory compression scheme with high reconstructed quality
This study proposes a Huffman coding with a fixed codebook designed to considerably reduce the latency caused by arithmetic coding in lossless compression schemes. This study also proposes a novel lossy frame memory compression technique based on the Hadamard transform that does not require additional memory access using a lookup table.

Abstract Transmitting images over an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Access (OFDMA) system poses a significant challenge. The process entails sending a substantial amount of data, which consumes a significant amount of bandwidth. Consequently, compressing the transmitted image becomes essential to reduce the required bandwidth.

Curvelet Transform Based Compression Algorithm for Low Resource Hyperspectral Image Sensors
The wavelet transform is widely used in the task of hyperspectral image compression (HSIC). They have achieved outstanding performance in the compression of a hyperspectral (HS) image, which has attracted great interest. However, transform based hyperspectral image compression algorithm (HSICA) has low‐coding gain than the other state of art HSIC ...

A blind contour‐aware quality model for sonar images
Abstract Since the penetration depth of visible light is limited in muddy and dark deep marine environment, sonar imaging, which is independent of natural light, has been attracting much attention in underwater detections. However, the visual quality of sonar image is inevitably damaged during the acquisition and the transmission in the sophisticated ...

PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF IMAGE COMPRESSION BASED ON FAST FRACTIONAL WAVELET TRANSFORM COMBINED WITH SPIHT FOR MEDICAL IMAGES [PDF]
Fast Fractional Wavelet Transform (FFWT) is an orthogonal linear transform called as decomposed signals in terms of chirps transform. This transform is used for signal and image compression and is based on Eigen value decomposition.

DWT‐SVD Based Watermarking for High‐Resolution Medical Holographic Images
Watermarking is one of the most common techniques used to protect data’s authenticity, integrity, and security. The obfuscation in the frequency domain used in the watermarking method makes the watermarking stronger than the obfuscation in the spatial domain.

Performance Enhancement of Bit‐Level XOR Compressed Image OFDM Transmission Systems
The bit error rate (BER) formula of the M‐QAM system is derived under nonequally likely condition of the constellation points, from which improving the BER performance of the M‐QAM system by optimizing the probability distribution of constellation points is identified.
