DWT‐SVD Based Watermarking for High‐Resolution Medical Holographic Images
Watermarking is one of the most common techniques used to protect data’s authenticity, integrity, and security. The obfuscation in the frequency domain used in the watermarking method makes the watermarking stronger than the obfuscation in the spatial domain.

Performance Enhancement of Bit‐Level XOR Compressed Image OFDM Transmission Systems
The bit error rate (BER) formula of the M‐QAM system is derived under nonequally likely condition of the constellation points, from which improving the BER performance of the M‐QAM system by optimizing the probability distribution of constellation points is identified.

Medical Image Compression Based on Variational Autoencoder
With the rapid growth of medical image data, it has become a current research hotspot that how to realize the large amounts of the real‐time upload and storage of medical images with limited network bandwidth and storage space. However, currently, medical image compression technology cannot perform joint optimization of rate (the degree of compression)

Fully spatial and SNR scalable, SPIHT-based image coding for transmission over heterogenous networks
This paper presents a fully scalable image coding scheme based on the set partitioning in hierarchical trees (SPIHT) algorithm. The proposed algorithm, called fully scalable SPIHT (FS-SPIHT), adds the spatial scalability feature to the SPIHT algorithm ...

ROI coding of volumetric medical images with application to visualisation [PDF]
This paper presents region of interest (ROI) coding of volumetric medical images with the region itself being three dimensional. An extension to 3D-SPIHT which allows 3D ROI coding is proposed.

Abstract The proliferation of tele‐healthcare services at an accelerated rate raises concerns over the management, security and privacy of the patient's confidential data (an individual's personal details and medical biography) during its transmission and storage. To resolve these issues, amalgamation of three fundamental techniques of remote healthcare

A Metaheuristic Approach to Secure Multimedia Big Data for IoT‐Based Smart City Applications
Media streaming falls into the category of Big Data. Regardless of the video duration, an enormous amount of information is encoded in accordance with standardized algorithms of videos. In the transmission of videos, the intended recipient is allowed to receive a copy of the broadcasted video; however, the adversary also has access to it which poses a ...
