Photochemistry of N‐Substituted, N′‐Tosyl Diphenyl Sulfondiimines

open access: yesJournal of Physical Organic Chemistry, Volume 39, Issue 8, August 2026.
The irradiation of N‐substituted, N′‐tosyl diphenyl sulfondiimines with UV light induces the sequential photorelease of two different nitrenes. ABSTRACT Sulfondiimines are an emerging sulfur(VI) functional group with increasing use in synthesis and medicinal chemistry, yet their photochemical behavior has remained largely unexplored.

Oxygen Attachment Dissociation of Protonated Reserpine and Its Analogs

open access: yesRapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry, Volume 40, Issue 14, 30 July 2026.
ABSTRACT Rationale Carbon–carbon double bonds are ubiquitous structural motifs in natural products and pose a key challenge in locating their presence in analytes via MS‐based methods. Here, we use the alkaloid reserpine as a model system to examine whether OAD reactions can locate quaternary double bonds embedded in fused multicyclic structures ...

Spin Crossover by Encapsulation

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2009
Encapsulation by synthetic hosts can transform the spin states of square planar Ni(II)(acen) and Co(II)(tap) complexes. Upon encapsulation, the red Ni(II) diamagnetic state was converted into a green paramagnetic state, whereas the Co(II) low spin (S = 1/2) state was changed into a coupled (S = 1/2 and S = 3/2) state. The host cages are noninnocent and

Spin-Crossover Coordination Nanoparticles

Inorganic Chemistry, 2008
Spin-crossover coordination nanoparticles of the cyanide-bridged three-dimensional network Fe(pyrazine){Pt(CN) 4} were prepared at three different sizes using a microemulsion. The 14 nm particles present a transition centered around 265 K with a hysteresis of 6 K.
