Investigation on Rotation Response of Spin-Exchange Relaxation-Free Atomic Spin Gyroscope [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Spin-exchange relaxation-free atomic spin gyroscope (SERF gyro) has ultrahigh theoretical sensitivity and is regarded as one of the most potential atomic gyroscopes.

Transient dynamics of atomic spin in the spin-exchange-relaxation-free regime [PDF]

open access: yesOptics Express, 2021
In this paper, we experimentally study transient dynamics of spin polarized atoms in the spin-exchange-relaxation-free (SERF) regime with a single-beam configuration. We pumped atoms with a weak detuning pumping beam, along with a sequence of magnetic field pulses orthogonal to the pumping beam were applied.

Investigation on the pulse response of a spin-exchange relaxation-free comagnetometer

open access: yesOptics Express, 2022
We investigate the magnetic pulse response of the optically pumped comagnetometer operated in the spin-exchange relaxation-free (SERF) regime. The pulse response model describing the evolution of the coupled spin ensemble of alkali metal and noble gas during and after the pulse is established for the first time.

Spin-exchange-relaxation-free magnetometry with Cs vapor [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 2008
We describe a Cs atomic magnetometer operating in the spin-exchange relaxation-free (SERF) regime. With a vapor cell temperature of $103^\circ\rm{C}$ we achieve intrinsic magnetic resonance widths $ΔB=17 {\rm μG}$ corresponding to an electron spin-relaxation rate of $300 {\rm s^{-1}}$ when the spin-exchange rate is $Γ_{SE}=14000 {\rm s^{-1}}$.

Probe noise characteristics of the spin-exchange relaxation-free (SERF) magnetometer

open access: yesOptics Express, 2021
In the spin-exchange relaxation-free (SERF) magnetometer, the probe noise is a consequential factor affecting the gradiometric measurement sensitivities. In this paper, we proposed a new characteristics model of the probe noise based on noise separation.

Structure optimization of non-magnetic electric heating film for spin exchange relaxation free magnetometer

open access: yesSensors International, 2023
Spin exchange relaxation free (SERF) atomic magnetometer is one of the most sensitive magnetometers. High temperature and a non-magnetic environment are two key conditions to achieve ultra-high sensitivity. In this paper, a non-magnetic heating film with

Spin-exchange relaxation-free magnetometry using elliptically polarized light [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 2009
Spin-exchange relaxation free alkali-metal magnetometers typically operate in the regime of high optical density, presenting challenges for simple and efficient optical pumping and detection. We describe a high-sensitivity Rb magnetometer using a single elliptically-polarized off-resonant laser beam.

Comprehensive analysis on the magnetic field error of a K–Rb–21Ne comagnetometer with low-frequency bias magnetic field sensitivity

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2023
The spin-exchange relaxation-free comagnetometer (SERFC) is of important research value compared to existing high-precision gyroscopes because of its extremely high theoretical limit sensitivity and long-term stability, in which one significant limiting ...
