Development of spin-exchange relaxation free magnetometer with a compact heating system
Atomic magnetometers based on spin-exchange relaxation free (SERF) regime typically operate with the high optical density and low magnetic fields. We present SERF magnetometer with a compact heating system for compact and efficient temperature control.

Spin and Charge Control of Topological End States in Chiral Graphene Nanoribbons on a 2D Ferromagnet
Chiral graphene nanoribbons on a ferromagnetic gadolinium‐gold surface alloy display tunable spin and charge states at their termini. Atomic work function variations and exchange fields enabe transitions between singlet, doublet, and triplet configurations.

Resolving the Structural Duality of Graphene Grain Boundaries
Cantilever ncAFM resolves the atomic structure of grain boundaries in graphene, revealing coexisting stable and metastable types. Both contain pentagon/heptagon defects, but metastable GBs show irregular geometries. Modeling shows metastable GBs form under compression, exhibiting vertical corrugation, while stable GBs are flat.

In situ real-time measurement for electron spin polarization in atomic spin gyroscopes
Summary: Atomic spin gyroscopes (ASGs) based on spin-exchange relaxation-free (SERF) co-magnetometers represent a new generation of ultra-high-precision inertial sensors. However, their long-term stability is significantly constrained by the stability of

Response of atomic spin-based sensors to magnetic and nonmagnetic perturbations
Searches for pseudo-magnetic spin couplings require implementation of techniques capable of sensitive detection of such interactions. While Spin-Exchange Relaxation Free (SERF) magnetometry is one of the most powerful approaches enabling the searches, it
