Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.

Supercurrent diode effect and magnetochiral anisotropy in few-layer NbSe2
The supercurrent diode effect was recently observed in a Nb/V/Ta superlattice thin film with Rashba-type spin-orbit coupling. Here, the authors observe this effect in few-layer NbSe2 crystals driven by valley-Zeeman-type spin-orbit coupling and find that

Spin current generation and relaxation in a quenched spin-orbit-coupled Bose-Einstein condensate
Spin-orbit coupling is interesting for fundamental understanding of spin transport and quench dynamics. Here the authors demonstrate spin-current generation and its relaxation in spin-orbit-coupled Bose-Einstein condensates of Rb atoms in different spin ...

Spin-orbit driven electrical manipulation of the zero-field splitting in high-spin centers in solids
In recent years, spin-orbit coupling has attracted significant attention due to its promising applications in spintronic devices. In solid-state spin qubits, the spin-orbit coupling allows for the lifting of spin degeneracy in the absence of an external ...

Coarse‐grained (left) and atomistic (right) models of the shape memory polymer ESTANE ETE 75DT3 are shown schematically. The two representations bridge molecular detail and mesoscopic description. Both models capture shape memory behavior, linking segmental mobility and conformational relaxation of anisotropic chains to macroscopic recovery, and ...

This study shows that superalloys used in aircraft engine disks become much more prone to deformation at high temperatures if they have been strained during manufacturing. This effect increases with the level of prior strain but eventually reaches a limit.

Spin-orbit-driven magnetic structure and excitation in the 5d pyrochlore Cd2Os2O7
Strong electronic correlations in 5d materials such as osmates may combine with spin-orbit coupling to yield novel order. Here, the authors demonstrate how spin-orbit coupling in pyrochlore Cd2Os2O7generates magnetic order and excitations associated with
