Spin-Spin Relaxation and Spin Temperatures

Physical Review, 1964
The equilibrium and nonequilibrium properties of an assembly of interacting spins are analyzed in the case of paramagnetism (nuclear). The evolution towards equilibrium is described by a generalized Pauli equation. This equation contains two relaxation times: a first one characterizing the evolution of the dipole-dipole system to equilibrium and a ...

WHAT IS THE SPIN OF A SPIN WAVE?

Physics Letters A, 1981
Abstract We argue that the spin of a spin wave in the Heisenberg antiferromagnetic chain of spins 1 2 is equal to 1 2 rather than 1 as is generally considered to be true.

Temperature of spin-spin interactions in electron spin resonance

Uspekhi Fizicheskih Nauk, 1972
A review is presented of the theoretical and experimental papers on spin resonance, in which the concept of the reservoir of spin-spin interactions in a solid is used. We explain the main ideas connected with the introduction of two spin temperatures, TZ and TSS, to describe quasi-equilibrium in the Zeeman and spin-spin subsystems (Provotorov's theory);

Biosynthesis of spin-labeled peptidoglycan: spin-spin interactions

Biochemistry, 1977
Membrane preparations from Gaffkya homari catalyzed the in vitro biosynthesis of soluble uncross-linked spin-labeled peptidoglycan, a uniformly labeled polynitroxide, from the spin-labeled nucleotide UDP-MurNAc-Ala-DGlu-Lys(Nepsilon-2,2,5,5-tetramethyl-1-pyrrolin-1-oxyl-3-carbonyl)-DAla-DAla (I) and UDP-GlcNAc.

“Spinning”

2016
Abstract A few patients presenting with spinning will have an emergent neurologic disorder. In many, an acute nonviral labyrinthitis or drug toxicity can be diagnosed. A full-scale neurologic evaluation should proceed only after otologic emergencies have been ruled out.
