Effect of Residual Carbon on Spin‐Polarized Coupling at a Graphene/Ferromagnet Interface
Vertical stacks of graphene and ferromagnetic layers are predicted to be efficient spin filters, while the experimentally observed figures of merit systematically remain below the theoretical predictions. According to general consensus, a vaguely defined

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Autotuning Parallel Programs by Model Checking
The paper presents a new approach to autotuning data-parallel programs. Autotuning is a search for optimal program settings which maximize its performance.

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Spin-phonon coupling in two-dimensional magnetic materials
Recently, two-dimensional magnetic materials (2DMMs) have become a focused research direction in a broad range of two-dimensional materials, due to their underlying significance in fundamental research, as well as in technologically relevant applications

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Heme enzymes that bind and reduce O2 are susceptible to poisoning by NO. The high reactivity and affinity of NO for ferrous heme produces stable ferrous-NO complexes, which in theory should preclude O2 binding and turnover.
