Spin-constrained orbital-angular-momentum control in high-harmonic generation
The interplay between spin and orbital angular momentum in the up-conversion process allows us to control the macroscopic wave front of high harmonics by manipulating the microscopic polarizations of the driving field.

Chiral phonon induced spin polarization
The current understanding of chirality suggests the existence of a connection between structure and angular momentum, including spin. This is particularly emphasized in the chiral induced spin selectivity effect, where chiral structures act as spin ...

Gauge invariant Noether’s theorem and the proton spin crisis
Due to proton spin crisis it is necessary to understand the gauge invariant definition of the spin and orbital angular momentum of the quark and gluon from first principle.

High-Order Orbital and Spin Hall Effects at the Tight Focus of Laser Beams
In this paper, using a Richards–Wolf method, which describes the behavior of electromagnetic waves at the sharp focus, we show that high-order spin and orbital Hall effects take place at the focal plane of tightly focused laser beams. We reveal that four

From a database of 170 pentagonal 2D materials, 4 candidates exhibiting altermagnetic ordering are screened. Furthermore, the spin‐splitting and unconventional boundary states in the pentagonal 2D altermagnetic monolayer MnS2 are investigated. A MnS2‐based altermagnetic tunneling junction is designed and, through ab initio quantum transport simulations,

Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.

Topological van der Waals contacts represent a new class of electrodes for 2D semiconductors, enabling precise control of the Schottky barrier height (SBH) and contact resistance (RC) through interlayer distance and orbital hybridization engineering. In Se‐based transition metal dichalcogenides, these contacts achieve an ultralow SBH of 7 meV, RC of 0.
