Development of a Three‐Axis Planar Hall Magnetoresistance Sensor Using a Superparamagnetic Nanoparticle‐Based Flux Guide

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A printed superparamagnetic nanoparticle‐based flux guide enables the realization of a hysteresis‐free three‐axis magnetic sensor. This innovative architecture efficiently redirects out‐of‐plane fields to planar sensing elements, facilitating simultaneous vector detection without complex reset protocols.

Magnetization-dependent spin Hall effect in a perpendicular magnetized film

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2020
In the spin Hall effect (SHE), the vector cross-product relations among charge current, spin current, and spin polarization are strictly followed, so that only the in-plane spin accumulation can be induced at the film surface.

Quantum Spin Hall Effect [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The quantum Hall liquid is a novel state of matter with profound emergent properties such as fractional charge and statistics. Existence of the quantum Hall effect requires breaking of the time reversal symmetry caused by an external magnetic field.

Steering Oxygen Activation Pathways via Redox Dual‐Defects in 2D Hydrated WO3 for High‐Yield Singlet Oxygen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Redox dual‐defects (Cs substitution and O vacancies) in 2D hydrated WO3 steer O2 activation toward selective singlet oxygen evolution. WO‐CO achieves 8.6–15.8 times higher 1O2 production than single‐defect or pristine catalysts, enabling efficient pollutant mineralization via a pathway‐selective photocatalytic mechanism.

Spin Hall effect and spin swapping in diffusive superconductors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We consider the spin-orbit-induced spin Hall effect and spin swapping in diffusive superconductors. By employing the nonequilibrium Keldysh Green's function technique in the quasiclassical approximation, we derive coupled transport equations for the ...

Dynamics of the optical spin Hall effect [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2017
We study the time evolution of the Optical Spin Hall Effect (OSHE), which occurs when exciton-polaritons undergo resonant Rayleigh scattering. The resulting spin pattern in momentum space is quantified by calculating the degree of circular polarization of the momentum space image for each point in time.

Fractional Quantum Hall Effect Under Tilted Magnetic Fields in GaAs/AlGaAs Heterostructure Hall Bar Devices, and the Effect of Current Annealing in CVD Graphene Devices

open access: yes, 2023
This dissertation presents two distinct research studies. The first study focuses on the fractional quantum Hall effect (FQHE) observed in two-dimensional electron systems subjected to high transverse magnetic fields.

Time‐Resolved Magnetization Switching Dynamics Driven by Orbital Torques

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Du et al. reveal nanosecond magnetization switching driven by orbital currents using time‐resolved Hall detection. The measurements separate domain nucleation from domain wall propagation and show that Joule heating strongly assists switching by lowering energy barriers.

Quasiparticle-mediated spin Hall effect in a superconductor

open access: yes, 2015
In some materials the competition between superconductivity and magnetism brings about a variety of unique phenomena such as the coexistence of superconductivity and magnetism in heavy-fermion superconductors or spin-triplet supercurrent in ferromagnetic
