Spin-label studies of tropomyosin
Biochemistry, 1975Studies are reported on nitroxide spin-labeled tropomyosin. The labels attach to sulfhydryl groups and to amino groups. The amino spins are highly mobile, the sulfhydryl much less so. Spin count studies show an average of approximately 0.5 labeled sulfhydryl/tropomyosin molecule and only approximately 0.15 labeled amino group/molecule.

Summary The facultative yeast cells have been spin-labeled biosynthetically with the 12-nitroxide stearic acid label under aerobic as well as anaerobic conditions. ESR spectra of the aerobic cells were different from those of the anaerobic cells. The signal intensity of the aerobic cells decreased upon removal of oxygen from the culture.

Spin-labeling of immunoglobulin carbohydrates
Immunochemistry, 1978Abstract The oligosaccharide units of different immunoglobulins were spin-labeled after periodate oxidation. Electron spin resonance spectra of the spin-labeled immunoglobulins point out on the marked freedom of rotation of bound spin-label. Addition of antigen to the spin-labeled anti-human IgG antibodies does not result in any change of spectra.
