Probing Primordial Chirality with Galaxy Spins [PDF]
Chiral symmetry is maximally violated in weak interactions, and such microscopic asymmetries in the early Universe might leave observable imprints on astrophysical scales without violating the cosmological principle. In this Letter, we propose a helicity measurement to detect primordial chiral violation.

Probing Yang–Lee edge singularity by central spin decoherence
Yang–Lee edge singularities are the branch point of free energy on the complex plane of physical parameters and have been shown to be the simplest universality class of phase transitions.

Spinning probes and helices in AdS 3 [PDF]
Abstract We study extremal curves associated with a functional which is linear in the curve’s torsion. The functional in question is known to capture the properties of entanglement entropy for 2D conformal field theories with chiral anomalies and has potential applications in elucidating the equilibrium shape of ...

Spin-alignment noise in atomic vapor
In the conventional spin noise spectroscopy, the probe laser light monitors fluctuations of the spin orientation of a paramagnet revealed as fluctuations of its gyrotropy, i.e., circular birefringence.

Probing interactions through space using spin–spin coupling [PDF]
A series of eight 5-(TeAr)-6-(SePh)acenaphthenes (Ar = aryl) were prepared and structurally characterised by X-ray crystallography, solution and solid-state NMR spectroscopy and DFT/B3LYP calculations.

An EPR spin-probe and spin-trap study of the free radicals produced by plant plasma membranes [PDF]
Plant plasma membranes are known to produce superoxide radicals, while the production of hydroxyl radical is thought to occur only in the cell wall. In this work it was demonstrated using combined spin-trap and spin-probe EPR spectroscopic techniques ...

Measuring the magnetic topological spin structure of light using an anapole probe
Topological spin structures of light, including the Skyrmion, Meron, and bi-Meron, are intriguing optical phenomena that arise from spin–orbit coupling.

Scalar one-point functions and matrix product states of AdS/dCFT
We determine in a closed form all scalar one-point functions of the defect CFT dual to the D3–D5 probe brane system with k units of flux which amounts to calculating the overlap between a Bethe eigenstate of the integrable SO(6) spin chain and a certain ...
