Noninvasive Blockade of Action Potential by Electromagnetic Induction [PDF]
Conventional anesthesia methods such as injective anesthetic agents may cause various side effects such as injuries, allergies, and infections. We aim to investigate a noninvasive scheme of an electromagnetic radiator system to block action potential (AP) in neuron fibers.

Conjugacy classes of polyspinal groups [PDF]
Spinal groups and multi-GGS groups are both generalisations of the well-known Grigorchuk-Gupta-Sidki (GGS-)groups. Here we give a necessary condition for spinal groups to be conjugate, and we establish a necessary and sufficient condition for multi-GGS groups to be conjugate.

The fusion peptide LR27‐modified thermosensitive nanodelivery system exhibits both hair cell targeting and inner ear penetrating properties. This system sustainably and effectively delivers PTH1‐34 to the inner ear of a hearing loss mouse model via the synergistic effects of multiple peptides, achieving satisfactory hearing protection through ...

Implantable Self‐Powered Systems for Electrical Stimulation Medical Devices
In this paper, the design strategy and clinical application of ISS are discussed in depth from four aspects: the design and optimization of the energy collection module, the selection and preparation of adaptive electrode materials, the innovation of system design strategy, and the biological effect of electrical stimulation of ISS.

An Adaptive Neuro-fuzzy Strategy in Closed-loop Control of Anesthesia [PDF]
This paper proposes an adaptive neuro-fuzzy framework to improve drug infusion rate in closed-loop control of anesthesia. The proposed controller provides a sub-optimal propofol administration rate as input to reach the desired bispectral index, which is the output of the system, in both induction and maintenance phases.

Low‐Irradiance Antimicrobial Blue Light‐Bathing Therapy for Wound Infection Control
Antimicrobial blue light has been shown as an appealing non‐pharmacological antimicrobial alternative. However, its clinical applications have been hindered by high irradiance‐associated photothermal risks. In this work, a low‐irradiance blue light‐bathing concept and a wearable photonic wound patch are established to address this challenge in terms of

Unresolved excess accumulation of myelin-derived cholesterol contributes to scar formation after spinal cord injury [PDF]
Background: Spinal cord injury triggers complex pathological cascades, resulting in destructive tissue damage and incomplete tissue repair. Scar formation is generally considered as a barrier for regeneration in central nervous system (CNS), while the intrinsic mechanism of scar-forming after spinal cord injury has not been completed deciphered ...

A Molecularly Defined Medullary Network for Control of Respiratory Homeostasis
The dynamic interplay between central respiratory chemoreceptors and the respiratory central pattern generator is essential for maintaining stable respiratory rhythm and patterns, particularly during sleep. This study offers novel insights into the anatomical, molecular, and functional characteristics of a medullary network involving the nucleus ...

Lactylation of UDP‐glucose dehydrogenase (UGDH) represses its enzymatic activity and causes glycosaminoglycans loss. In addition, UGDH lactylation facilitates its interaction with chromosome region maintenance 1 (CRM1) and promotes the nucleocytoplasmic transport.
