Targeting the PDK1/c‐Myc/SOX10 Signaling in Oligodendrocytes Alleviates Neuropathic Pain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work reveals that oligodendrocyte homeostasis, mediated by PDK1, is a critical determinant of neuropathic pain (NPP) pathogenesis. Disruption of PDK1 in oligodendrocytes impairs SOX10‐dependent myelination programs through c‐Myc accumulation, leading to disrupted myelination and the pathophysiology of NPP.

Recent advances in the management of brachial plexus injuries

open access: yesIndian Journal of Plastic Surgery, 2014
Management of brachial plexus injury is a demanding field of hand and upper extremity surgery. With currently available microsurgical techniques, functional gains are rewarding in upper plexus injuries.

Axonal projections of Renshaw cells in the thoracic spinal cord [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Renshaw cells are widely distributed in all segments of the spinal cord, but detailed morphological studies of these cells and their axonal branching patterns have only been made for lumbosacral segments.

Microsurgical anatomy of the denticulate ligaments and their relationship with the axilla of the spinal nerve roots

open access: yes, 2014
The denticulate ligaments (DL), 20 or 21 pairs of meningeal extensions, spread from the lateral aspect of the spinal cord to the internal aspect of the spinal dura mater.

RNA Helicase DDX21 Controls CD4+ T Cell Proliferation and Promotes Inflammatory Bowel Disease via Translational Control

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is characterized by dysregulated T cell responses. RNA helicases, including DExD‐box helicase 21 (DDX21), are pivotal in RNA metabolism, but their role in T cell‐mediated pathology during IBD remains unclear. Here, we demonstrate that DDX21 expression in CD4+ T cells correlates with cell cycle and translation ...

Datasheet1_Patients having surgery for ulnar nerve compression at the elbow rarely have affection of the spinal nerve root at C8-Th1 levels.pdf

open access: yes, 2022
Cervical pathology may contribute to residual problems after surgery for ulnar nerve compression. We aimed to evaluate the presence of pathological conditions in spinal cord and cervical spinal nerve roots in patients surgically treated for ulnar nerve ...

Enhanced Glycolysis‐Driven Histone H3K18 Lactylation Regulates Epileptogenesis by Modulating the E3 Ubiquitin Ligase COP1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Neuronal PKM2‐driven glycolysis generates excess lactate that triggers histone H3K18 lactylation (H3K18la), establishing a pathogenic metabolic‐epigenetic axis in epilepsy. Elevated H3K18la enriches the Cop1 promoter, transcriptionally upregulating the E3 ubiquitin ligase COP1, which subsequently drives proteasomal degradation of GABAARβ2 and impairs ...
