A Single-Turn Stacked Spiral Antenna With Ultrawide Bandwidth and Compact Size
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2021An ultrawideband stacked single-turn spiral antenna with an integrated feeding structure is presented in this communication. The proposed antenna consists of two stacked planar single-turn Archimedean spirals which are wound in orthogonal directions.

Rectangular Spiral Antenna With a Hilbert Unit for Detecting Corona Discharge in Overhead Lines
IEEE Sensors Journal, 2021Corona discharge is a common phenomenon in power systems. If it occurs in overhead lines, then hidden dangers, such as poor contact between metal fittings of insulators and transmission lines, aging insulators, and strand breakage of lines, exist.

A Compact Broadband Circularly Polarized Spiral Antenna for Conformal Applications
2021 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and USNC-URSI Radio Science Meeting (APS/URSI), 2021This paper proposes a novel compact conformal broadband spiral antenna on a truncated cone. The radiating body of the antenna is composed of two-arm spiral metal strips, and the two arms with 180° differential excitation to generate unidirectional ...

Spiral antennas and antenna arrays
2005 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2005The planar square-Archimedean spiral located at the center of a dipole has been demonstrated as a valuable passive antenna element in the upper MM-wave and THz regions between about 100 GHz and 2 THz (Bjarnason, E. et al., Appl. Phys. Lett., vol.85, p.3983, 2004).

IRE International Convention Record, 2005
A simplified description of the radiation mechanism of the spiral antenna is given, and the effects of the various parameters on the characteristics of the cavity-backed Archimedian spiral are discussed. Experimental data illustrating the effect of cavity diameter, cavity depth, conductor loading, and spiral rate of growth are offered as design guides.

2011 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation (APSURSI), 2011
A coplanar spiral antenna (CSAT) in free space is analyzed using the finite-difference time-domain method. It is found that the CSAT radiates a circularly polarized wave over a relatively wide frequency range (13%). The gain is found to be an approximately 4.8 dBi. Subsequently, a CSAT with a glass plate is investigated.

Spiral Planar Antenna for MIMO
2018 IEEE 7th Global Conference on Consumer Electronics (GCCE), 2018A high gain spiral planar antenna for the multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) is proposed and fabricated in the frequency band of 2.4GHz. Its maximum and average gains are higher than those of the commercialized antenna. Two fabricated antennas are put adjacent to the same and reverse direction, and MIMO antennas are composed.
