The cavity backed spiral antenna with a square configuration is described. It is shown that with continual development and an invention of a unique design of cavity the aperture of this type of antenna is reduced to approximately 0.1? square at its lowest operating frequency.

Analysis of equiangular spiral antennas
International Journal of Microwave and Millimeter-Wave Computer-Aided Engineering, 1996In this work, equiangular spiral antennas are analyzed with the well-known method of moments in conjunction with triangular patch modeling. In particular, the analysis focuses on the validity of several generic guidelines hitherto available for designing such antennas.

The characteristics of coaxial spiral antennas
4th International Conference on Antenna Theory and Techniques (Cat. No.03EX699), 2004The paper presents the results of a study of the main characteristics of coaxial antennas used for receiving and transmitting circularly polarized waves in two separate frequency bands. The method of determining the geometric parameters of these antennas under given requirements is introduced.

Structural synthesis of spiral antennas
Solar System Research, 2013This article discusses alternative designs of helical antennas used in space vehicles. The dependence of the beam shape on the number of approaches and the mode of excitation of helical antennas is shown.

The mathematical model of radiation characteristics of the sphero-conical helical antenna in the form of extending conductors is offered. This model allows not only to simplify an essentially calculation, but the analysis of similar structures. The results of theoretical and experimental research of the sphero-conical helical antenna are also discussed
