A novel circularly polarized slotted substrate integrated waveguide antenna array for satellite applications

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation, 2021
In this article, three novel slotted substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) antenna elements are demonstrated with different radiator configurations, namely, two arms Archimedean antenna, single‐arm spiral antenna (monofilar), and four concentric circular ...

Moment method analysis of an archimedean spiral printed on a layered dielectric sphere [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
A method of moments model is presented to analyze Archimedean spirals that are printed on a layered dielectric sphere. The model is derived assuming an arbitrary location of the spiral.

Novel Square Spiral Antennas for Broadband Applications [PDF]

open access: yesFrequenz, 2009
An investigation of novel square spiral antennas is presented. The antennas are designed by considering the special arrangements of spiral arms. The new designs perform much better in terms of the frequency independency of the fundamental antenna parameters, when compared with the well known and widely used Archimedean spiral antenna, which makes the ...

Hybrid Utilization of Loading Techniques and Cavity Groove for Performance Enhancement of the UWB (2–18 GHz) Spiral Antenna

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2018
This paper presents, for the first time, the hybrid use of loading techniques (which involve terminating the spiral arms with different structures to give a resistive or capacitive effect) and a novel technique of cavity groove in order to enhance the ...

Broadband Compact Circularly Polarized Spiral Antenna Array Fed by Printed Gap Waveguide for Millimeter-Wave Applications

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
This paper presents a new design for a wideband circularly polarized (CP) spiral antenna array fed by a differential aperture coupling. The differential excitation is realized by two vias located at the lateral sides of a transverse slot etched on the ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
