Oxetanes: Recent Advances in Synthesis, Reactivity and Medicinal Chemistry [PDF]
The 4-membered oxetane ring has been increasingly exploited for its behaviors, i.e. influence on physicochemical properties as a stable motif in medicinal chemistry, and propensity to undergo ring opening reactions as a synthetic intermediate.

Spiro-compounds have been built up from methylcyclohexanone to examine, on the basis of the valency deflexion hypothesis, the nature of strain in cyclohexane ring in which ortho or meta positions are occupied by groups. β-Methylnaphthalene has been obtained as a product of dehydrogenation of 3-methylcyclohexane-spiro-cyclopmtane-5'-carboxylic acid.

Iodine incorporation into the CdS buffer layer induces spontaneous anion diffusion and selectively passivates selenium vacancies in Sb2Se3 absorbers. The formation of low‐energy, charge‐neutral ISe defects effectively suppresses non‐radiative recombination, resulting in a substantially enhanced open‐circuit voltage and boosting the device efficiency to

Synthesis and Crystal Structures of Two Novel O, N-Containing Spiro Compounds
Two novel O, N-containing spiro compounds, C16H16ClNO4 (1) and C16H16N2O6 (2), were prepared by reactions of monosubstituted benzenamine (substituent = –NO2, –Cl) and 1,5-dioxaspiro[5.5]undecane-2,4-dione in ethanol solution of trimethoxymethane.
