On smoothing problems with one additional equality condition
Two problems of approximation in Hilbert spaces are considered with one additional equality condition: the smoothing problem with a weight and the smoothing problem with an obstacle.

IGF‐1 deficiency underlies poor ovarian response (POR), as reduced levels in follicular fluid and granulosa cells impair antral follicle formation and compromise reproductive outcomes. Including IGF‐1 as a biomarker significantly enhances the accuracy of models predicting both PORrisk and pregnancy success.

The use of complex structure splines in roadway design
Objectives. The aim of the work is to develop the theory of spline-approximation of a sequence of points on a plane for using compound splines with a complex structure.

A Novel 10‐Protein Score for Liver Fat Content Predicts Cardiovascular‐Kidney‐Metabolic Disease Risk
A novel 10‐protein plasma score precisely quantifies liver fat, outperforming the fatty liver index. It robustly predicts the risk of numerous cardiovascular‐kidney‐metabolic diseases and integrates with genetic data for precision prevention, offering a practical alternative to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Abstract Liver fat content (LFC) is a key

Robust and automatic modeling of tunnel structures based on terrestrial laser scanning measurement
The terrestrial laser scanning technology is increasingly applied in the deformation monitoring of tunnel structures. However, outliers and data gaps in the terrestrial laser scanning point cloud data have a deteriorating effect on the model ...

THB-Spline Approximations for Turbine Blade Design with Local B-Spline Approximations
We consider two-stage scattered data fitting with truncated hierarchical B-splines (THB-splines) for the adaptive reconstruction of industrial models. The first stage of the scheme is devoted to the computation of local least squares variational spline approximations, exploiting a simple fairness functional to handle data distributions with a locally ...

Rational-spline approximation with automatic tension adjustment [PDF]
An algorithm for weighted least-squares approximation with rational splines is presented. A rational spline is a cubic function containing a distinct tension parameter for each interval defined by two consecutive knots.

Unstructured spline spaces for isogeometric analysis based on spline manifolds
Based on spline manifolds we introduce and study a mathematical framework for analysis-suitable unstructured B-spline spaces. In this setting the parameter domain has a manifold structure, which allows for the definition of function spaces that have a ...
