Natural Killer Cells in Paediatric Soft Tissue Sarcomas: A Systematic Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Paediatric soft tissue sarcomas (pSTS) are a rare and heterogeneous group of malignant tumours arising in tissues of mesenchymal origin. The role of natural killer (NK) cells in pSTS remains poorly understood, with evidence fragmented across small preclinical studies and early‐phase clinical trials.

Simultaneous and semi-alternating projection algorithms for solving split equality problems

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2018
In this article, we first introduce two simultaneous projection algorithms for solving the split equality problem by using a new choice of the stepsize, and then propose two semi-alternating projection algorithms.

On split equality minimization and fixed point problems

open access: yesNovi Sad Journal of Mathematics, 2018
Summary: In this paper, iterative algorithm for approximating a solution of a split equality minimization problem and split equality fixed point problem for demi-contractive mappings is introduced. Using our iterative algorithm, we state and prove a strong convergence theorem for approximating an element in the intersection of the solution set of a ...

On Hierarchical Composite Endpoints in Pediatric Cancer Supportive Care: Illustrative Examples From Two Multi‐Center Phase‐III Randomized Clinical Trials

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric supportive care clinical trials often involve multiple clinically important outcomes, complicating trial interpretation. Hierarchical composite endpoints (HCEs) provide a framework to integrate key outcomes according to clinical importance.

Weak Convergence Theorems on the Split Common Fixed Point Problem for Demicontractive Continuous Mappings

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2018
We are concerned with the split common fixed point problem in Hilbert spaces. We propose a new method for solving this problem and establish a weak convergence theorem whenever the involved mappings are demicontractive and Lipschitz continuous.

Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.

Multiblock ADMM Heuristics for Mixed-Binary Optimization on Classical and Quantum Computers

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Quantum Engineering, 2020
Solving combinatorial optimization problems on current noisy quantum devices is currently being advocated for (and restricted to) binary polynomial optimization with equality constraints via quantum heuristic approaches.

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Regularization Method for the Approximate Split Equality Problem in Infinite-Dimensional Hilbert Spaces

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
We studied the approximate split equality problem (ASEP) in the framework of infinite-dimensional Hilbert spaces. Let , , and   be infinite-dimensional real Hilbert spaces, let and   be two nonempty closed convex sets, and let and   be two bounded ...

Convergence rate analysis of an iterative algorithm for solving the multiple-sets split equality problem

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2019
This paper considers an iterative algorithm of solving the multiple-sets split equality problem (MSSEP) whose step size is independent of the norm of the related operators, and investigates its sublinear and linear convergence rate.
