Domiciliary Use of Chlorhexidine vs. Postbiotic Gels in Patients with Peri-Implant Mucositis: A Split-Mouth Randomized Clinical Trial

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Peri-implant mucositis is a pathological condition characterized by an inflammatory process in the peri-implant soft tissues. Progression to peri-implantitis takes place in case of peri-implant bone resorption. Recently, an aid for non-surgical treatment

Management of nitrogen fertilization on agronomic and nutritional characteristics in second crop corn

open access: yesBioscience Journal, 2020
Fertilization management, mainly nitrogen, is one of the factors that most directly affect corn grain yield. Nitrogen dynamics in the soil is quite complex and its main source currently used in corn production, the urea, undergo intense losses in its ...

Efficacy of split night CPAP titration in moderate and severe obstructive sleep apnea syndrome patients

open access: yesEgyptian Journal of Chest Disease and Tuberculosis, 2016
Background: Split-night polysomnography was introduced to obtain diagnosis and determine an effective CPAP on a single night that would be convenient and cost effective.

Vertex-splitting and chromatic index critical graphs

open access: yesDiscrete Applied Mathematics, 1997
The authors propose the following conjecture. Let \(G\) be a connected regular graph of Class 1 with \(\Delta(G)\geq|V(G)|/3\), and let \(G^*\) be obtained by splitting a vertex of \(G\) into two vertices. Then \(G\) is a chromatic index critical graph. It is shown that the well-known overfull conjecture [\textit{A. J. W. Hilton}, Discrete Math.

Pre-Harvest Corn Grain Moisture Estimation Using Aerial Multispectral Imagery and Machine Learning Techniques

open access: yesLand, 2023
Corn grain moisture (CGM) is critical to estimate grain maturity status and schedule harvest. Traditional methods for determining CGM range from manual scouting, destructive laboratory analyses, and weather-based dry down estimates.

Index-range monotonicity and index-proper splittings of matrices

open access: yesNumerical Algebra, Control & Optimization, 2013
Index-range monotonicity is proposed, and some characterizations of this notion are obtained. Then different convergence and comparison theorems are presented using several new subclasses of index-proper splittings.

Development of an advanced multimode refractive index plasmonic optical sensor utilizing split ring resonators for brain cancer cell detection

open access: yesScientific Reports
In this paper, we propose and theoretically investigate a novel multimode refractive index (MMRI) plasmonic optical sensor for detecting various brain cancer cells, leveraging the unique capabilities of split ring resonators (SRRs). The sensor, simulated
