Feeding Inhibition by Chitosan on Larvae of Spodoptera litura (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae)
The high usage of synthetic insecticides for controlling Spodoptera litura could be detrimental to the environment, especially on non-target organisms. Therefore, more environmentally friendly pest management techniques should be used, for example, using a natural product such as chitosan.

A Role for Innexin2 and Innexin3 Proteins from Spodoptera litura in Apoptosis
Gap junctions formed by two hemichannels from two neighboring cells are cell-to-cell communication channels; hemichannels are communication channels between intracellular and extracellular environments. Hemichannels are hexameric proteins formed by connexins, pannexins, innexins and vinnexins.

We studied the response of Battus polydamas (Papilionidae) larvae fed on Aristolochia ringens (containing several diterpenes) and Aristolochia gigantea (containing sesquiterpenes and acyclic monoterpenoids but no diterpenoids or aristolochic acids). We assessed larval performance on fitness components such as survival and differential gene expression ...

QSAR analysis on Spodoptera litura antifeedant activities for flavone derivatives
We establish useful models that relate experimentally measured biological activities of compounds to their molecular structure. The pED(50) feeding inhibition on Spodoptera litura species exhibited by aurones, chromones, 3-coumarones and flavones is analyzed in this work through the hypothesis encompassed in the Quantitative Structure-Activity ...

Schizophyllum commune induced genotoxic and cytotoxic effects in Spodoptera litura [PDF]
AbstractIn search for ecofriendly alternatives to chemical insecticides the present study was conducted to assess the insecticidal potential of an endophytic fungusSchizophyllum communeand its mechanism of toxicity by studying genotoxic and cytotoxic effects as well as repair potential usingSpodoptera litura(Fabricius) as a model.

ABSTRACT Pesticide resistance presents some of the best examples of evolution by natural selection in action. An exceptionally well‐documented case from recent years is the evolution of resistance to the diamide chlorantraniliprole in the striped rice stem‐borer Chilo suppressalis in China.

Spodoptera litura is one of agricultural crop pests. They are resistant to chemical insecticides. One of arternate biological control is Spodoptera litura Nucleopolyhedrosis Multiple Virus (SpltMNPV) Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana mekanisme SpLtMNPV dalam menginfeksi sel epithel midgut larva S.

Summary The growth of different grafted guava was different as affected by grafting on different rootstock varieties, which also influenced the damage degree of Spodoptera litura larvae. The co‐regulation of the pest gut by rhizosphere microorganisms and root exudates may contribute to this differential damage. In this study, the microorganisms of soil,
