Cell‐Integrated In Situ Prelithiation Enables Stable and Fast‐Charging Self‐Supporting Al Foil Anodes

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Self‐supporting aluminum (Al) foil anodes offer the advantages of high energy density, simplified structural configuration, and low cost. However, their practical application is severely constrained by challenges such as low initial Coulombic efficiency, pronounced interfacial side reactions, and sluggish lithiation kinetics.

Photoreforming Hydrogen From Polystyrene, Low‐Density Polyethylene, and High‐Density Polyethylene Microplastics via UV‐Driven Photolysis and TiO2‐Based Photocatalysis

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 27, Issue 14, 29 July 2026.
UV‐driven photoreforming converts PS, LDPE, and HDPE microplastics into hydrogen, with efficiency governed by polymer structure and reaction conditions. TiO2 photocatalysis enhances hydrogen production for polystyrene but decreases performance for polyethylenes, where photolysis is more effective. Stirring improves particle dispersion and significantly
