Study on Influence of Gas Drainage on Spontaneous Combustion “Three Zones” of Goaf in Shallow Buried Deep and High Gas Working Face

open access: yesMeikuang Anquan, 2020
Take Wuhushan Coal Mine 010908 working face as the background, theoretical analysis, numerical simulation and field measurement are used to study the influence of shallow buried depth gas working face gas drainage on goaf spontaneous combustion “three ...

High-fidelity formation of deeply bound ultracold molecules via non-Hermitian shortcut to adiabaticity

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2021
Stimulated Raman adiabatic passage allows robust transfer between two ends of a three-state quantum system and has been employed to transfer weakly bound Feshbach molecules into their deeply bound rovibrational ground state.

Static Schwinger-Level Electric Field Nonlinearities and Their Significance to Photons and Photon Entanglement

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2021
In this work, we postulate that Schwinger’s threshold for a dynamic electric field intensity to induce spatial nonlinearity is a special case and, more generally, it is the threshold field for both static and dynamic electric fields.

Spontaneous and stimulated emission tuning characteristics of a Josephson junction in a microcavity

open access: yes, 2004
We have investigated theoretically the tuning characteristics of a Josephson junction within a microcavity for one-photon spontaneous emission and for one-photon and two-photon stimulated emission. For spontaneous emission, we have established the linear

Interaction between Molten Al‐Killed Mn–B Steel and Carbon‐Bonded MgO Refractories Based on Recyclates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
High‐temperature interactions between low‐sulfur Al‐killed Mn–B steel and MgO–C refractories (0 and 50 wt% recyclates) are studied via finger immersion tests (1600 °C). Surface‐active elements influence infiltration. MgO/CaS layer forms, along with spinel and calcium silicate.

Benchmarking the Cumulant Expansion Method Using Dicke Superradiance

open access: yesPhotonics
Collective superradiant decay of a tightly packed inverted quantum emitter ensemble is among the most intensely studied phenomena in quantum optics. Since the seminal work of Dicke more than half a century ago, a plethora of theoretical calculations in ...

Influence of an Argon/Silane Atmosphere on the Temperature of a Thermal Plasma

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The influence of a silane‐doped argon atmosphere on the chemical composition and temperature of a thermal nontransferring argon plasma is investigated using optical emission spectroscopy. As a result of the high amount of free electrons resulting from the stepwise ionization and dissociation of the silane molecule, even a silane addition of 0.01 vol ...

Spontaneous Photon Emission in Cavities

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2014
We investigate spontaneous photon emission processes of two-level atoms in parabolic and ellipsoidal cavities thereby taking into account the full multimode scenario.

Corrosion and Process Analysis of a Preoxidized MgO Recyclate‐Based Cermet Anode in Laboratory‐Scale Na‐Cryolite Molten Salt Electrolysis of Aluminum at 1000°C

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
EDX elemental map of the pre‐oxidized MgO–steel cermet anode cross section after electrolysis. The development of inert anodes for aluminum electrolysis remains challenging due to the high corrosivity of cryolite‐based melts at 950°C–1000°C. This study investigates the corrosion and process behavior of a carbon‐free MgO–steel cermet anode derived from ...

Coherent Control of Quantum Entropy via Quantum Interference in a Four-Level Atomic System [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sciences, Islamic Republic of Iran, 2013
The time evaluation of quantum entropy in a four-level double- type atomic system is theoretically investigated. Quantum entanglement of the atom and its spontaneous emission fields is then discussed via quantum entropy.
