Characteristics of spontaneous fission of 250No [PDF]
This study describes an experiment on investigating the properties of spontaneous fission of shortlived neutron-deficient nuclei synthesized in the reaction of complete fusion $^{48}$Ca +$^{204}$Pb = $^{252}$No*. The experiment is performed using the SHELS separator and the beam of multicharged ions at U-400 accelerator (LNR, JINR).

On prompt fission neutron spectrum in spontaneous fission of 252Cf
Annals of Nuclear Energy, 2014Abstract In this work we use simple representations of prompt fission neutron spectrum in both the center of mass system of fission fragments and the laboratory system which takes into account the multiple neutron emission from fission fragments. The laboratory spectra are compared with the observed spectrum of prompt fission neutrons in spontaneous ...

Spontaneous fission of superheavy nuclei
Pramana, 2015The macroscopic–microscopic method is extended to calculate the deformation energy and penetrability for binary nuclear configurations typical for fission processes. The deformed two-centre shell model is used to obtain single-particle energy levels for the transition region of two partially overlapped daughter and emitted fragment nuclei.

The spontaneous fission (SF) of the heaviest actinides and the transactinides is of particular interest because of the dramatic changes in properties observed in the region of the heavy fermion isotopes and for still heavier elements. The existing experimental information on SF properties including half-life systematics, fragment kinetic-energy and ...

Spontaneous fission and clusterization
Journal of Physics G: Nuclear and Particle Physics, 1998We study the very exotic cluster configurations of atomic nuclei defined by the spontaneous fission channels. Our treatment applies effective U(3) symmetry labels corresponding to the quadrupole deformation of the nuclei. We study in detail the Mo emission of the , which was observed in a recent experiment. The effect of the microscopic structure turns
