Spore Morphology and Taxonomy of Polypodiaceae [PDF]

open access: yesGrana, 1970
Abstract The examination of spores belonging to eight species representing five genera of Polypodiaceae reveals that they are typically free, anisopolar and monolete (bilateral). In a majority of cases the spores are yellow and have a short laesura—about half the length of the greater equatorial axis of the spore.

Spore morphology of Selaginella borealis, S. sanguinolenta and S. helvetica (Selaginellaceae, Lycopodiophyta)

open access: yesTurczaninowia, 2019
For the first time we have conducted a study of three species of the genus Selaginella P. Beauv. from Russia: S. sanguinolenta (L.) Spring, S. helvetica (L.) Link and S. borealis (Kaulf.) Rupr. using the method of scanning electron microscopy (SEM). In a

Ceratiomyxa arbuscula: A White Tubular Myxomycetes in West Java

open access: yesBiotropika: Journal of Tropical Biology, 2022
A white tubular Myxomycota is identic to the Ceratiomyxa genus. Ceratiomyxa has five sporangium types such as a simple pillar, fruticulus, arbuscula, filliforme, and porioides. Slime mold as Ceratiomyxa was found in IPB University. The specimen was coded

Chemical and Morphological Studies of Bacterial Spore Formation [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Cell Biology, 1959
The development of both the spore and parasporal protein crystal of Bacillus cereus var. alesti was followed using chemical and cytological techniques. The changes which led to the formation of the fore-spore were similar to those already described for Bacillus cereus.
