Spore morphology of some Turkish moss species
In this study, spore morphology of Hedwigia ciliata (Hedw.) P.Beauv., H. stellata Hedenäs, Leucodon immersus Lindb. and Funaria hygrometrica Hedw. were examined by light microscopy (LM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). All species except L. immersus have small spores, the length of the polar axis (P) is between 8.43 µm and 31.75 µm, equatorial ...

PpASCL, the Physcomitrella patens Anther-Specific Chalcone Synthase-Like Enzyme Implicated in Sporopollenin Biosynthesis, Is Needed for Integrity of the Moss Spore Wall and Spore Viability. [PDF]
Sporopollenin is the main constituent of the exine layer of spore and pollen walls. The anther-specific chalcone synthase-like (ASCL) enzyme of Physcomitrella patens, PpASCL, has previously been implicated in the biosynthesis of sporopollenin, the main ...

Spore morphology of Korean Polypodiaceae
Description of spore morphology of Korean Polypodiaceae has monad, monolete with bilateral symmetry, bipolar and oblete spore except for Loxogramme grammitoides having trilete spore with radial symmetry. In spore wall structure, exopore showed variable patterns enough ro distinguish genera.

Haplotype‐Resolved 3D Genomic Landscapes and Their Impacts on Agronomic Traits in Grapevine
This study presents a haplotype‐resolved 3D genomic landscape of grapevine, revealing that structural variations (SVs) are closely associated with phased topologically associating domain (TAD) boundary transitions. These rearrangements coordinate with allele‐specific DNA methylation (ASM) and allele‐biased gene expression (ASE) to shape key agronomic ...

A biomimetic artificial extracellular matrix is assembled directly on Pseudomonas fluorescens by co‐assembling amyloid‐like lysozyme and alginate at the cell surface. This conformal nanocoating acts as both a hydration buffer and a physiological priming layer, markedly enhancing desiccation tolerance, seed adhesion, storage stability, and biocontrol ...

Spore morphology of Korean Thelypteridaceae
Taxonomic characteristics of spores of 17 species belonging to 6 genera of the Korean Thelypteridaceae are examined. Description of each species and key to the species are provided. Spores of Korean Thelypteridaceae are monad and monolete with bilateral symmetry. Perispore, the sporoderm of spore, was found in all the species examined.
