Laser weld spot detection based on YOLO-weld
Laser weld point detection is crucial in modern industrial manufacturing, yet it faces challenges such as a limited number of samples, uneven distribution, and diverse, irregular shapes. To address these issues, this paper proposes an innovative model, YOLO-Weld, which achieves lightweight design while enhancing detection accuracy.

Crystal Growth Engineering for Dendrite‐Free Zinc Metal Plating
This research employed the rare‐earth ion dysprosium (Dy) to modulate aqueous zinc (Zn) metal plating. Integrated multiscale experiments and computational modeling unveiled the preferential adsorption of Dy on specific crystal facets, which activated screw dislocation‐driven Zn growth.

N‐heterocyclic Carbenes as Adhesion Promoters on Aluminum Alloy 6061
N‐heterocyclic carbenes as novel non‐toxic surface primers for aluminum alloys for better adhesive bonding, because strong adhesive bonding shouldn't come at the cost of poisoning the human body. The impact of NHC functionalization on adhesive joint strength and durability is also evaluated using a single‐lap‐shear test, following continuous exposure ...

Dissimilar Welding Using Spot Magnetic Pulse Welding [PDF]
Magnetic Pulse Welding (MPW) is a solid state joining technique which have increased development in the past few years due to the industrial need in joining dissimilar materials and difficult-to-weld ones. It is an impact welding technique, such as explosive welding (EXW) and laser impact welding (LIW), which share the same basic joining principle ...
