Elephant‐skin‐inspired crack networks are programmed in porous diatomaceous earth (DE)‐cement composites using substrate‐guided, stress‐concentration induced fracture. The resulting crack lattices act as capillary conduits that redistribute water, while the porous matrix stores moisture.

Agricultural spray droplet dispersion in turbulent windflow
Off-target contamination (or spray drift) during agricultural chemical application, arising from removal of small (diameter < 100 m) droplets from sprays by atmospheric or vehicle-generated cross flows, is investigated experimentally.

Leaftronics: Bio‐Fractal Scaffolds From Leaf Venation for Low‐Waste Electronics
“Leaftronics” transforms naturally evolved leaf venation into quasi‐fractal scaffolds for sustainable electronics. Polymer‐infiltrated leaf skeletons can be used to fabricate ultra‐smooth, reflow‐ and thin‐film‐compatible decomposable substrates, while making the same lignocellulose networks conducting results in flexible transparent electrodes.

We address the inherently weak particle adhesion of conventional air filters by coating a dynamically crosslinked adhesive layer that delivers capillarity‐driven strong adhesion and particle absorption mediated by dynamic bond exchange. The resulting enhancement in particle adhesion enables efficient ultrafast (up to 20 m s−1) and omnidirectional ...

The Influence of Spray Parameters on Heat Transfer Characteristics in Spray Cooling
Testing system is built up to study the heat transfer characteristics of micro-structure and smooth surface under the conditions of different spray height and spray pressure. The experiment is carried out in a closed loop spray cooling system with water as the working fluid with high speed camera.
