Investigation of Spray and Droplet Characteristics of Spray Nozzles

open access: yesInternational Journal of Vehicle Structures and Systems, 2022
The study was focused on investigating the spray and droplet characteristics of spiral and flat-fan nozzles computationally. The Spiral nozzle and the flat-fan nozzle are generally used in fire suppression application. The computational analysis had been carried out in ANSYS.

Formation of Stable Amorphous Calcium Phosphate and Collagen Assemblies by a Versatile Spray‐Drying Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) microparticles with long‐term and thermal stability are prepared with or without collagen using a scalable one‐pot spray‐drying process. Under simulated physiological conditions, they crystallize into biomimetic bone mineral and, when combined with collagen, form extrudable, fibrillar bone‐like 3D constructs.

Effect of nozzle spray distance on the secondary cooling uniformity of continuous casting billet

open access: yes工程科学学报, 2020
In the secondary cooling zone of continuous casting, the cooling uniformity of the billet largely depends on water flux distribution and is closely related to crack formation.

Assessment of Nozzle Spray Characteristics for Agriculture Spraying

open access: yesInternational Journal of Environment and Climate Change, 2023
The studies on the operational parameters of selected nozzles were conducted in the laboratory using a patternator with the operational parameters of four types of nozzles (hollow cone, 3-way discharge nozzle (3D), flood type, and solid cone nozzle), five operating pressures (400, 500, 600, 800, and 1000 kPa), and five nozzle heights (0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0 ...

In Situ 3D Bioprinting: Impact of Cross‐Linking on the Adhesive Properties of Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In situ 3D bioprinting enables the direct deposition of cell‐laden, adhesive biomaterials for on‐site tissue regeneration. This review provides a comprehensive overview of how cross‐linking influences the bioadhesive properties of hydrogels used in 3D bioprinting, highlighting cross‐linking triggers, bioadhesion mechanisms, polymer interpenetration ...

Analysis of internal flow and outlet velocity characteristics associated with dust suppression nozzles and their impact on spray field

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2019
In order to understand the relationship between nozzle structure and spray field, the present paper conducts velocity-based parametric study on two types of dust suppression nozzles, focusing on the link among nozzle structure, velocity distribution, and

Carrier Volume and Nozzle Effect on 2,4-D and Glufosinate Performances in Hazelnut Sucker Control

open access: yesHortScience, 2020
Hazelnut (Corylus avellana L.) basal sprouts, or suckers, are removed to train trees as a single trunk, facilitating mechanization. Suckers are routinely controlled with herbicides, often by using nozzles that generate fine droplets and spray volumes as ...

Remotely controlled spray gun [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
A remotely controlled spray gun is described in which a nozzle and orifice plate are held in precise axial alignment by an alignment member, which in turn is held in alignment with the general outlet of the spray gun by insert.

Time-resolved fuel injector flow characterisation based on 3D laser Doppler vibrometry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In order to enable investigations of the fuel flow inside unmodified injectors, we have developed a new experimental approach to measure time-resolved vibration spectra of diesel nozzles using a three dimensional laser vibrometer.
