A Laboratory System for Nozzle Spray Analysis [PDF]

open access: yesChemical Engineering Transactions, 2017
Droplet spray spectrum is one of the most important factors affecting the biological efficacy of a phytosanitary treatment and water sensitive papers (WSP) are one of the most widely used tools to asses spray coverage. Aim of this study is to present a low cost laboratory test bench, suitably designed to analyse nozzle sprays according to the procedure

Optimizing Stratification in Binary Colloidal Supraparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Supraparticles from binary particle populations show stratification when dried at high Péclet numbers. In spray‐dried systems at high initial particle concentration and fast drying conditions optimal combinations of particle size ratios and volume fractions that produce maximal stratification are found both in experiment and simulation, contrasting the

Deep Learning Network‐Tailored Microenvironment Matching of 4D Bioprinting Bioactive Scaffolds for Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A DLN dataset was built to analyze MABS composition versus in vitro/in vivo osteogenesis and angiogenesis. An MLP neural network, taking BG morphological parameters as input, extracts bioactive features from these datasets. A rabbit tibial defect model then validates 4D‐printed MABS for adaptability and bone regeneration in critical defects.
