Laser cladding (LC) is an advantageous surface modification technique. However, in the case of a thin substrate or a large process area to substrate, large thermal distortions could be generated, which can affect the dimensional accuracy of machinery ...

Reactive plasma spraying [PDF]
Reactive Plasma Spraying (RPS) with a hydrocarbon gas has been studied as a method to improve the mechanical properties of a commercially available 80: 20 nickel-chromium alloy, and subsequently as a method to reduce the oxygen content of sprayed ...

Reduced efficacy of insecticide-treated nets and indoor residual spraying for malaria control in pyrethroid resistance area, Benin. [PDF]
The pyrethroid knockdown resistance gene (kdr) has become widespread in Anopheles gambiae in West Africa. A trial to test the continuing efficacy of insecticide-treated nets (ITN) and indoor residual spraying (IRS) was undertaken in experimental huts at ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Reaction of Morphological Traits and Yield Components of Guar Plant (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba L.) in Different Planting Dates and Zinc Sulfate Levels in Khorramabad region [PDF]
IntroductionGuar is a one-year plant from the Fabaceae family and tolerates dry and salty conditions, and therefore can be used as a high potential for production. The planting date is one of the most critical factors in the cultivation and production of

Combining indoor residual spraying with chlorfenapyr and long-lasting insecticidal bed nets for improved control of pyrethroid-resistant Anopheles gambiae: an experimental hut trial in Benin. [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Neither indoor residual spraying (IRS) nor long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs) are able to fully interrupt transmission in holoendemic Africa as single interventions.

Mass spectrometry based identification of AMP‐O‐Tris generated by Thermococcus onnurineus Cas10
Isolated Thermococcus onnurineus Cas10 generates the noncanonical ATP‐derived product AMP‐O‐Tris while in Tris‐containing buffer as identified via mass spectrometry, revealing relaxed nucleophile selectivity under isolated conditions. These findings suggest that multiprotein Csm complex assembly restricts Cas10 reactivity toward canonical cyclic ...
